Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, you have just listened to President Donald Trump speaking
from the diplomatic room at the White House. It was
a fiery Donald Trumps and I came out firing a
diplomatic reception room, speaking under a picture of the first
President of the United States, George Washington. I guess was
(00:24):
really close to about let's see where are we twenty minutes.
It's about an eighteen minute speech, so give or take,
and it was on script, no ad libs that I
could pick up. I didn't have a copy of the speech.
We were not provided with a copy of the speech
in advance. But it was a fiery speech and the
(00:46):
President listed in many cases reforms that this administration has
been able to achieve in the first eleven months in office.
Talked about when he arrived, inflation worse than forty years.
He talked about closing the border, talked about an open
(01:07):
border when he arrived, about men and women's sports, crime
at record levels, worse trade deals. He characterized everything that
has happened in the last eleven months the most positive
change the history of the country. He continues to invoke
the fact, the incorrect fact, in my opinion, that he
won a landslide in twenty twenty four. He did win
(01:29):
the popular vote, but the popular vote was just I
believe either under over fifty percent. He talks about winning
all swing states. That is not a landslide in my opinion.
He talked that for the last seven months, zero illegal
aliens have come into the country. I don't know how
he can prove that, but that's okay. I think it
(01:50):
certainly has been a significant reduction. Talked about restoring safety
in American cities, including Washington, DC. Talked about the attacks
on boats coming out of Venezuela, giving education back to
the States, talked about settling eight wars, ending the Iranian
(02:12):
nuclear threat. He talked about prices of things like cars
and gas, hotels, and airfares all being up under Joe
Biden and down under him. He specifically stated that eggs
were down eighty two percent since March. He may be
correct on that, because eggs were drifting up towards five
(02:32):
dollars six dollars a dozen eggs, and I think that
they are substantially below that, down below that now. He
talked about real wages under Biden being down by three
thousand dollars and that a lot of wages in different industry,
talked about miners amongst others being up. He claims that
(02:54):
one hundred percent of all jobs this year went to
the private sector. He may be correct on that there's
been overall a diminution of government jobs, certainly in Washington.
Talked about the success of tariffs, which in turn will
help build factories and plants. Talked about a year ago,
and again this is a subjective judgment, that the US
was ready to fail, and that today we have the
(03:14):
hottest country in the world. Talked about the success of
the one Big, Beautiful Bill, and certainly there are people
in that in the audience tonight, those who work on
tips and over time, many, not all, many social Security recipients.
Beginning in twenty twenty six, we'll see no taxes. And
he talked about something which I think is he called
(03:37):
the Warrior Dividend, which I have never heard before tonight.
Apparently it was a surprise. I guess was only decided
some time today that every member of the US military
one million, four hundred and fifty thousand will each receive
a check this Christmas for one seven hundred and seventy
six dollars, which of course is a figure that represents
(04:00):
the beginning of this country, the great two hundred and
fiftieth anniversary that we will be celebrating in twenty twenty six.
Talked about record recruitment in the military, reduction and the
price of prescription drugs. He talks about the new website
trump rx dot gov. Talked about the fight that Congress
(04:20):
is having right now over whether or not the tax
benefits of Obamacare will be extended. The Democrats want them
extended for three years. He calls it the Unaffordable Care
Act and says that that money should not go to
insurance companies, it should go directly to the American people.
So those are some of the highlights that he talked about.
(04:43):
And it was a speech that he stayed on script,
which is something that he doesn't do all that often,
but he did it tonight. Now, what I want to
hear is I want your reaction to the speech to
He just went through a litany of points. Some of
them will be challenged, others are absolutely factually correct. Feel
(05:08):
free to join the conversation. Six one, seven, two, five,
four ten thirty, six one seven, nine, three one ten thirty.
It sounded very much like a campaign speech in all honesty.
Where sometimes the campaign speeches tend to drift, there was
no drifting tonight. He talked when after green energy. He
(05:28):
talked about how that electricity prices searched under Biden. They
are still very high. Gasoline prices, he said, are down
in fact two dollars and fifty cents in some parts
of the country. I believe he's correct on that. He
talked about sixteen hundred new electrical generating plants being created.
I'm not sure if that is correct. I'm sure there
(05:49):
will be plenty of fact checkers out there. Again, some
of these statements that he made are easily correct, and
arguably he takes credit for them, certainly what he calls
the invasion at the border. He did talk about the
new chair of the FED, whatever his last name is
and apparently is down the two Kevins will have lower
(06:11):
interest rates, which he feels will help mortgages low be lowered,
more people being able to take advantage of those. And
he talked about the Olympics. I'm not sure that the Olympics.
He's claiming that they were, that he brought the Olympics here.
I don't think that is accurate. I think that the
Olympics are decided well in advance, as well as the
(06:34):
FIFA Cup. I'm not sure that he's correct on that.
Now it is time for you. Six one seven, two, five,
four ten thirty, six one seven nine three thirty. The
lines are full right now. I want to hear from you.
If you are a Trump supporter, tell us what you
like best about the speech. Which of his claims were
(06:55):
you proud of? St of If you are somebody who
does not does not necessarily like Donald Trump, and things
that perhaps upon occasion he he he's not precisely accurate,
and you want to point out some inaccuracies and claims
there was. There were objective and subjective judgments that he
(07:17):
made tonight. Objective facts difficult to argue with those subjective
characterizations a little bit more easy. We have a lot
to work with tonight, uh, and I hope you will
join us. Six one seven, two, five, four ten thirty
six one seven nine three one ten thirty. You've heard
the speech. I've given you the quick recap in case
you missed it. I think I was accurate. It was
(07:38):
a speech. I was taking notes very quickly. And now
it's up to you. Let's talk about it. If you
were a Trump supporter, I think you can argue this
was perhaps the best speech that he's ever given. Just
as a speech. He's stuck to the script, which is
and he talked about the accomplishments of the first year.
(07:58):
If you're a Trump to tractor, there were some things
in there that that are more than arguable. I've cited some.
Feel free to make your points. Join the conversation. We
are here until midnight. We're also going to keep our
eye on what's going on with the Brookline murder of
the MIT professor, tragic for his family and for the
(08:21):
town of Brookline and form T and of course what's
going on as they continue to try to find the
individual who was pretty cowardly to go in and kill
two students and severely injured, critically injure several others. So
we have we'll keep our eye on that for you.
But right now Donald Trump is front and center. Let's
(08:43):
have at it and we'll start to get through these
phone lines as quickly as possible. My name is Dan Ray.
This is Nightside. Stay with us and join us and
want to hear from you. Give us a call coming
back on Nightside.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
You're on nightside with Dan Ray.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
I'm Boston's News.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
By the way, there was a couple of things that
Donald Trump did not mention in the speech tonight, and
I think in fairness it's important to mention. No mention
of Ukraine, no mention of a potential government shut down
in January. No mention of election defeats in Virginia and
in New Jersey and most recently in Miami where for
(09:27):
the first time in forty years, a Democrat was elected
mayor there. But I thought, overall, this was him at
his most effective. Now, most people have long since made
up their mind about Donald Trump, but I thought this
was an effective speech. Anyone who listened to it would
have to be impressed that someone had assembled many of
(09:50):
the accomplishments. And he stayed on script, which is and
Rob mentioned to me that that he sounded angry. And yeah,
it was not what you'd call a victory lap, but
it was almost an I told you so speech. I
would call it. Yeah, I kind of liked that phrase
(10:13):
that I told you show this is what I promised
to do, and this is what I have done and
what my administration has done. That would be the way
I would characterize it. You can characterize it any way
you want. Here at night's side, I'm going to start
off with Matthew in Tennessee. And Matthew, I don't know
that we've ever had the pleasure of you calling out
(10:34):
program before tonight. How are you welcome?
Speaker 4 (10:38):
Merry Christmas, Dan Ray.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Merry Christmas to you. Matthew. Are you a first time caller?
Speaker 4 (10:43):
No, I'm not a first time caller. I'm actually a
second time caller. I called you about I don't know
it was about three weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Okay, well, welcome back, welcome back. I'm sorry. We go
through a lot of folks and I just always liked
to Did you get a round of applause three weeks ago?
I hope when when you were first time calling it good?
Speaker 4 (11:00):
I did not only that you said I was your
new favorite caller.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Well, I now remember you as the new favorite caller.
You were a very good caller that night. Let's live
up to the reputation. What was your analysis? What's you think?
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Well?
Speaker 4 (11:15):
I got an announce I just want to make a
quick clarification. I'm not actually in Tennessee. I am an
ex tile of Tennessee. I now live in Saugust Massachusetts.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
What brought you to Massachusetts, Matthew?
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Oh what pretty girl?
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Nothing wrong with dad? Did you go to school up
here as well?
Speaker 4 (11:37):
And no, no, no, no no, I just went to
the school of life pretty much. But you know, a
pretty girl will pretty much take anywhere, and she just
happened to live up here, really did.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
How did you and this lovely lady meet in Tennessee?
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Oh? How did anybody meet these days?
Speaker 4 (11:54):
Down on the internet online?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Well? Good for you all right now we've got an
enough of your personal life out of the way. I
hope it all works.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
I wanted to I just wanted to clarify. I didn't
want you to think I was because I know you've
got a lot of lists. I didn't know you had
a lot of listeners everywhere, but you do have a
lot of listeners everywhere. You know, I'm not in Tennessee.
I'm right up here in Sauga.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Well, from now on, you if you can say Matthew
from Tennessee, you can always you can claim that, because
that's fine with me. So what your thought on the
speech tonight? I thought he'd right.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
Boy, oh boy, let's let's break this. Let's break this
down for a minute. Yeah, one thing. Uh you said?
Uh you said, whether you're a Trump supporter or or
a Trump hat you know crit one, Yeah, or a
Trump critic, yeah, trump critics better way to put it,
you know you could? There is there is an in
(12:49):
between points. And that's what I think a lot of
people don't get. There isn't in between points. There are
plenty things I don't like.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
About the guy.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
He's he's come completely ridiculous at times, but there's other
things that I do like So what you what you
said about, like how we went down the line and
he really talked about the things that he believed that
were really good that he did. Yes, sounds great on paper,
(13:18):
but we got to realize this just this just blew
by our brains really quickly. Have we checked these facts?
Have we checked these numbers? Because it all sounds good
when he says it, and he says a lot of stuff.
So let's check these numbers first of all.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Go right ahead, go ahead, because.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Yeah, because I haven't checked them, and I guess we
will trust me in the following days. Everybody in their
mamala absolutely and I see tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Look, Matthew, you're reinforcing a point that I said, and
there's a lot of things that that clearly he has
successfully done, and there are other things that he has
said he has done that needs to be checked. And
there will be people tonight who are going to say
he was wrong on this number or wrong on that number.
But I do think that there will be tax relief
(14:06):
for people who work as waiters and waitresses. There will
be tax relief for most people who receive in Social
Security payments. You're not going to get a Social Security
payment for probably fifty or so years or whatever whenever
you're eligible for Social Security. Uh, you know, so there's
a lot of the border is much tighter than it was.
(14:27):
I don't know that that his claim that there's not
been one person that's snuck over the border, I don't
know if that's true, but it probably is close to true. So, yeah,
we he's talking about interceding drugs. Uh what what what
specific number did you hear that you doubt it? Or
give me something that that we can we can grapple with.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
Well, it's not necessarily, it's not necessarily any of the numbers.
Just to pull back a little bit, it's obvious the
things that have gone good have gone good, like the
border itself obvious down the line. It doesn't matter what
side you're on. Everyone's gonna say, boy, oh boy, this
(15:11):
guy got it done. But just some of the numbers.
It always seems like the numbers are always fudged a
little bit. So those numbers I want to look at.
I wanted to also bring a point. I love how
you said you you liked the fact that he stayed
on point because I was talking to my wife after
(15:33):
it ended and I was like, wow, twenty minutes, he
didn't he didn't blow yet, he didn't go off on
any sort of.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Yeah, he would rat a tat tat right on script,
right on script. Yeah, that's how old are you now, Matthew?
How old are you?
Speaker 4 (15:53):
I am forty two.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Well, i'll tell you you're You're a guy who has
your whole life in front of you, obviously with a
lovely lady. I really appreciate that you that you have
come back as a second time caller, and I want
you to continue to call this program because I think
you're similar to me and that you recognize there's a
lot of positives that he's done, and at the same time,
(16:17):
there's a lot of language that he engages in which
is very destructive. I thought that his comments about Rob
Reiner's death the other night, way over the top, way
over the top. No reason to dance on the grave
of an individual unpresidential and it's just not necessary. But
I want you to keep calling. I got pack lines, Buddy.
(16:37):
I have gone with you here for six minutes. It
was a strong start. Please continue to listen and call
this program, and give that lady a hug for everybody
from Nightside.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
Okay, Hey, you're my news favorite radio host, Bud. No,
thanks for having me on.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
If I don't talk to it between now and then,
Merry Christmas. And I hope it's a very special Christmas
for you and and you're the lovely lady.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
Okay, all right, love you, Bud, love our the listeners.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
Right back at you. Okay, thanks, Matthew. Let's keep rolling.
You're going to go to Who's next up? Bill and Danvers.
Bill is going to like the speech. I'm sure Bill,
you were next on. Nice. Yeah, you are a true supporter,
go right ahead.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Yeah. Well, I mean if you look at things, I
mean even if you look out into the future, we'll
say we're three years into this, right and you look
back at the Biden years. I mean, he can definitely
claim that he inflations. I mean, because Biden was it
was ridiculous. I mean, you know, even if he comes
in at three point one, I mean, he would look like,
you know, but he's gonna have to come in lower
it that, you know, because we get even things off
(17:39):
because it was so out of control people breathing.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Under Biden, inflation got up at one point to nine percent. Yeah,
the Democrats are going to say, hey, look, he was
battling COVID and there were things that had to be done,
but there was a lot of government money spent, and
the Republicans are not going to try to reel it in.
He stayed on script tonight. What did you like about
the present day?
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Be honest with you. I know it was twenty minutes.
He maybe should have taken a few more minutes and
talked about the one thousand dollars a child that was
in the big in the bill. I'm happy he did
talk about some of the tax policy and stuff, and
he did talk about energy. I might have elaborated a
little bit on that and said, listen, you know, the
average barrel of oil and the Biden was eighty five
(18:23):
or ninety and today we settled that. Because I looked
at it today, I was curious. Fifty seven dollars a barrel,
and every few cents is a billion dollars more in
the economy. And you know, as this thing, and we've
issued more permits and we're doing deregulation and stuff, you know,
to further get that down, and you know, so that
everyone can benefit from that, you know.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
And here's the deal. What he has pledged to do
or to begin to do, he has actually accomplished. And
let me just say one thing. Any of the media
that is questioning his physical acumen, his physical, physical of
psychological acuity, they don't know what they're talking about. I
(19:07):
heard a sound bite from Jake Tapper tonight which was horrible.
He said, yeah, we're looking at him a little bit
more closely because we didn't do a good job of
looking at Joe Biden.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
Really yeah, well, I mean, yeah, yeah, you know, the
majority of the country, and this is why they're losing
viewerships and the eyes on these guys. And then I've
taken them serious because of the way they've conducted themselves
and probably the last ten years, especially you know, a
lot of these networks and certain individuals and stuff, you know, and.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
People that the emphasis now on the fact he's seventy
nine years old. He's not as young as Joe Biden
was when Biden left office, But Joe Biden when he
was elected to office was seventy eight. So you know,
Trump's you know, chronological age is almost for reflecting Biden's age,
(20:01):
and with the four year separation, it was about Biden
was born in if I recall November of forty two.
Trump was born in June of forty six, So there's
about a four year difference there. So if you think
back about the energy level that Joe Biden had in
his first year at the end of the first year
(20:22):
in term, it was nothing like what Trump displayed tonight,
and it's displayed consistently. He was at Dover Air Force
Base today, he and Millennia are welcoming home of the
bodies of the Americans who were killed in that Crisia, Syria. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Absolutely, that's but you know, if he has to keep
going and if the first quarter of next year GDP
is good, if we don't have a government shutdown, and
I'll tell you if there is a government shutdown and
they tried what they did last time.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
The Philip Butts is probably gone.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
You know.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
I used to be a supporter of that, I think,
and I'm hearing more people now. I think that will.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Ultimately get rid of it. If they pulled that.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
The end of the day. I think that's an excellent point,
and I concur in that, and the Republicans would be
crazy not to all hour shutdown at my.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
Point, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, And I hope it doesn't
happen because I'm going to be flying out of the
country and stuff, and I don't want any craziness with
the airlines to.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Come on back late January. When are you flying.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
I'm leaving on the January twenty sixth.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Yeah, well, that's something to be concerned about. If I
talked to the President, I'll mention the bill from Danvers
doesn't want to shut down because he's.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
Fell, and tell him maybe I go a little softter
invent because I'm going to Columbia next door.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
That could be another issue too, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
He's been talking about that guy.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
I got a feeling that something's likely to happen. Maybe
he's waiting till after Christmas. I don't know. I think
he would hope that Maduro would leave on his own,
but I still think Mduro is like that. We'll see,
we'll see. Bill is always tep you for joint.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Hey take kid, Dan.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
If I don't talk to have a good Christmas.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Merry Christmas to you as well. Bye. Coming back on
Night's Side one line six one seven.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
Nights Side with Dan Ray.
Speaker 5 (22:13):
I'm BZ Boston's news Radio.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
We're going to try to tighten up the calls a
little bit here. Okay, let me go to Herschel in Boston. Hi, Herschel,
welcome back. How are you, sir, Dan Ray?
Speaker 2 (22:23):
How you doing?
Speaker 1 (22:24):
I'm doing just great. Give me your take on the
president's speech to Night Herschel.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Okay, well, I'll try to go through this somewhat quickly.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
He told he was somewhat truthful on the borders. He's
done a great job with that gas prices. M He
missed me on that because I am a lift driver,
I drive around many different cities and towns, and unless
I miss my guests, gas was a little bit lower
when Biden left out and Trump came in than they
(22:55):
are now.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
That's okay, herschel. Okay, here's the deal. Okay, uh do
you want to pay less than three dollars for your
gah for gas? What are you paying now? What do
you pay now?
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Generally if I pay cash at a particular gas station,
I pay two seventy five.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Okay, now we're talking.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
But Mobile Sonoko, Sitko and others that the name brands,
they're up there at almost four.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Boy, I'll tell you I haven't seen anything that highearsal.
I don't know where you where you drive, but I
would say that.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Dan, anytime you want, I will meet you and drive
you to where I've been and I'll show you.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Well, I'll tell you I don't know what he.
Speaker 5 (23:47):
Needs to come to Boston. Let me put it down.
I will Tausetts.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
I will take you to Patriot Petroleum on Route nine,
just on the other side of one twenty eight and
pay on Sundays two eighty three. And you said you
can find it for two seventy five cash, Well that's
cash to throw some cash and you talk and why
they all pay about four percent of the credit card.
(24:11):
You know that by using a credit card. Yeah, that's
not trumpt what's that to eighty five?
Speaker 2 (24:20):
For credit.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Okay, well, you know, I again, I go to Patriot
Petroleum on Route nine. And you know, again, if you
live in the Newton Wellesley West and you know, you're
still you're you're out on the suburbs. I think unfortunately,
some of the big corporations jacked the price up in
the inner city, which is absolutely unfair.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Those are the people he needs to be talking to.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
Well, then he's got a job bone. Then I will
agree with you on that. He's got to call in
the big boys, you know, the as you say, Yeah, okay,
fair enough.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Okay, So.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
The farmers he messed up, he missed them up. Okay,
the overall he just.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
Said, he said the check. He just sent twelve billion
dollars back to the farmers, which I think is a
consequence of the terrors. You're aware of that, he did
not mention.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
H Yeah, I'm aware of that. But you know from
day one he said, oh yeah, I'm going to do this.
But before he pulled them out the water, he pushed
them down below the tide.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Well that's fine, I'm not going to disagree with you
on that, but it wasn't like he pushed him down
below the tide and didn't throw them a life jacket. Oh,
I think twelve billion dollars is something that that. I
think the what happens a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
No, no, it's a lot of money. He's recovering now.
But they they they paid a steep price for his
verbiage in the last eight months.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
You know, I'm not going to disagree with you on that.
But but it's not as if he forgot them. That's
all go ahead?
Speaker 2 (25:52):
What else? So the overall economy okay? In my opinion,
I could be wrong. I don't feel no resident can
do anything about grocery prices. As far as the eggs
were concerned, there was a problem with the chickens some
time ago and there were limited eggs, so the price,
they jacked the price up. Now there are eggs literally
(26:13):
coming out of parking lot, so yeah, they're gonna be cheaper.
So I'm not going to give him that because eggs
were cheaper before that that particular chicken situation happened. The
illegals he's doing. Depending on how you look at it,
I think he's doing an okay job, but he's doing
it by drastic measures. Unless again, unless I miss my guess,
(26:39):
Obama sent out a whole what was it, about six
million or so, maybe a little He was.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Called he was called the Deporter in chief when he
was infice.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
Yeah, and I think he did it quietly.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
You know, you didn't hear all this vitriol regarding individuals
Washington DC.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
I've been to Washington, d C. Several times. I got
family that lived there. I'm curious as to this particular crime.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
Wave that he subdued, because when I was what I
would like you to do for me Herschel, Okay, I
would honestly the next time you go to Washington, or
even if before that, you could talk to some of
your family members and ask them, does it feel better
in Washington from a safety purpose, for just from the
(27:25):
safety perspective other than.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Well, I asked, and they said they don't. They don't
see a difference. It's it's I mean, you can go
into any city in this country and pick out a
particular neighborhood and say, you guys are in trouble because
I don't like what I see. Maybe there's crime. There's
crime in every city. Yeah, there's crime, probably ten feet
(27:50):
from the White House. But when you when you when
you I don't know the word I'm looking for. But
when you when you, when you, I'll say, when you
highlight Because he's talking about this, he's referencing the surrounding
area near the White House. I would challenge him to
really go into some neighborhoods that have a reputation which
(28:14):
is not near the White House and clean it up.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
And then that's exactly what I hope he does. To
me Herschel's that's exactly where is most crime committed in
American cities, in poorer communities. Okay, you could look at
you could look at the crime stats in Boston. Is
there crime in Beacon Hill? Yes? Is there more crime
in Beacon Hill than in some parts of other parts
(28:38):
of Boston. No, it's as simple as that. It's as
simple as that. And the people who were most adversely
impacted by crime are poor people, and I think that
is abysmal. If we had a murder rate in places
like Wellesley or Newton or Brookline like we have in
the inner city in Boston, they would be National on
(29:00):
Guard troops on every street corner in Newton, Brookline and Wellesley.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
And you know how we got three we got we
got three years ago. We'll see if that.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
Happens, all right, Hearchel, I'm flat out of time. I
went about twice. As long as you're a great caller,
do me a favorite call more often, Okay, I think
absolutely all right, all right, all right, back on nights side,
after the ten
