A Café In Boston Is Making Wishes Come True For Their Community

Before you hop in line to order a cup of
coffee at the Wishing Cup, you pass a sign on
the wall that says we Brew wishes here, and they
actually do.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
With every order that someone puts in, they are welcome
to fill out one of our wishing cards.

Speaker 1 (00:11):

Speaker 2 (00:13):

Speaker 1 (00:13):
This place opened up about five months ago and they've
been granting about a wish a month. Some are personal
and some are more community based.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
At the end of each month, our owner picks about
three that he posts on our social media's our Instagram,
and basically we allow all of our customers to vote
on whatever wish they want to come true.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Last month, the chosen wish was to help somebody who
recently moved here by getting them English lessons. Another was
a big pet food donation for local shelters. The owner
wanted to create a place where dreams could truly come true.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
He really wanted to create a cafe that was really
purpose based.
