Freda, the mini Australian Shepherd, is among the handful of
dogs I've seen enjoying the shore. Laurence says it's a
popular spot for pups to peacefully play in placid waters.

As an Australian Shepherd, she's not naturally necessarily a swimmer,
but once she decided that the water was fun, you
can't get her out of it, which sometimes is great
and sometimes when it's really gross out, it is not
so great.

But it's cool for our cool canine companions.

The tide comes up and out really far, like you
can see right now, it's very very low, so there's
a lot of beach for dogs to run on in Quimsey.
