A Local Pet Rescue Works To Find Homes For Black Cats During Kitten Season

Boston's Black Cat Rescue says it takes care of the undercats,
the ones that tend to get looked over and less adopted,
especially the ones that need some extra care.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Their common appearance can make them a little less noticeable
compared to more colorful.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Cat Kristen Taylor on the rescue's board tells me now
is a really important time to find foster homes.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Currently have about thirty ish in foster care right now,
really ranging from little kittens who are just born to
some older cats who are a little more senior. Summer's
a very busy season for us with kittens and pregnant
cats as well.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
I got a chance to meet Midnight, one of the
kiddies up for adoption, and her foster dad, ting she
was attacked by a dog two years ago, leaving her
with nerve damage. Midnight has a little diaper on, but
acts just like your average non diaper wearing cat.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yeah, that's what scares people away, and we thought, Ashley,
it's not.
