A local scientist says an object flying through our Solar System could hypothetically be a piece of alien technology.

The object is called three I Atlas, and in a
recent paper, Harvard professor Avi Lobe and his co authors
dive deep into his trajectory and other traits to suggest that, maybe, hypothetically,
it could be a piece of alien technology.

As soon as I heard about this subject, I realized
that it's extremely bright. If it were a rock, it
had to be with a diameter of twenty kilometers. It's
actually unlikely to be that large if it's natural.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Lobe says, it's always worth looking into these things because,
first of all, it's interesting, and second of all, no
matter how unlikely it might be, what if it is
alien technology? And what if our interstellar neighbors are out
for more than just small talk.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
It may be the end of O our civilization.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Lobe admits in the paper in question that the whole
thing is largely a thought exercise meant for teaching purposes.
