Everywhere we turn these days, it feels like we're dodging
another scam, and it's almost always tied to our phones.

This year, thinks there have been so many scam scams
like I just see it right and left.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Denise lives in South Boston, was not surprised when I
told her about a texting scam where people are being
asked to pay a small fee on a traffic ticket
that doesn't exist.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
And I'm like, part of me is surprised and the
other part of me is not surprised.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
The message has the city's crest and even links to
a website that looks eerily similar to the City of
Boston's ticket payment website, But Boston Police wants the public
to know it's all a ruse.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
I know what a parking ticket looks like, and this
is clearly bogus.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Donald isn't getting fooled, but some people have. If you
