Abandoned House In Somerville To Get Demolished, New Condominium Underway

Thirty two Webster Ave in Somerville as well, on its
way to becoming a shiny new building, not that you'd
know it from the outside.

All the neighbors are excited to hear about the building
being demolished. That's one hundred percent fair statement.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Universally, the house was practically falling over with boarded up
windows in a jungle of overgrown plants. Absolutely everywhere. It's
looked like this for years. Public imagery shows that started
going downhill in the late twenty tens, about when Ryan
Whitgigs says the property was abandoned. Whitntig is with Kinvara Capital,
developer that's trying to turn the dilapidated isore into condos.

And we're getting ready to demolish it here in a
month or two and built twenty nine new condominium units.

The house was originally built in eighteen ninety. The family
wanted to demolish it years ago, but when the pandemic hit,
vandals broke in and it was even the site of
