Over eight million dollars is going towards improving runway infrastructure.
MASTOT says investing in pavement management will enhance safety for
those catching flights around the state. The program that's running
now through the spring of twenty twenty seven entails runway
ceiling repairing, airport pavement and surface treatments. It also includes
freshening up airport markings, pavement overlay, and erosion control as
(00:20):
a part of the restoration for both turf and paved runways.
It's happening at all airports that mass DOT oversees, which
is most of the public use airports in the Commonwealth.
That doesn't include Logan Airport, Hanscom or Worcester though, because
those airports are all owned and operated by Massport. Emma
