I'm here at Sunnyside Boulodrome and Danvers candlepin bowling for
the very first time ever with Matt Crowman teaching me
the ropes.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Just try and keep it simple and just focus on
the middle arrow and try and have your arm go
that way. That's that's my best bat WHOA.

I almost went down with the ball. I took him
up on his offer he made on Reddit, willing to
introduce people to the sport in the hopes of keeping
it alive, especially after bowling centers closed in Beverly Salem
and Marble Having.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
My grandfather was a league bowler and in his whole life.
My father was a league bowler in his life. I
do have a connection to the sport and I do
love it.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
He admits he's not the best candlepin bowler out here,
but what he might lack in skill he makes up
for in passion.
