So I would play a lot of doom metal, some
like what's called stoner metal. It's similar to doom, it's
like slow heavy.

Tina started combining her love of metal music and teaching
yoga about eight years ago, when she started Black Widow
Yoga after her father died of cancer.

To me, that just clicked, and it felt more genuine,
and it felt more real, and you know, like traditional
yoga music just didn't feel right to me, just didn't
match how I was feeling.

She also teaches pop ups in Medford and Summerville.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
And I knew there were other metal fans, but I
knew there was also yoga people out there, and maybe
there were, you know, something in between. I could form
and like bring new people to yoga as well.

She also partnered with local artists to create an apparel
brand that matches the same metal yoga tone in Summerville.
