Boston Athenaeum Displays Photography Exhibit Of New England’s Wildflowers

This exhibition at the Gallery in the Boston Atheneum is
called Wildflowers of New England and features the work of
Edwin Hale Lincoln, taken more than one hundred years ago.
This is exhibit curator Lauren Graves.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Lincoln was a Berkshire based photographer who dedicated over two
decades of his photographic career to documenting wildflowers and botanicals
native to New England.

In this exhibit, you'll see intricate black and white photographs
of everything from magnolias to milkweeds. Some of the wildflowers
are hard to find today, but they're growing right here,
suspended in time.

His effort really was to document and preserve wildflowers for
future generations, and.
