Boston Athenaeum Presents Accidentally Wes Anderson: Adventures Exhibit

Wally Coval remembers the first time he ever saw Wes
Anderson's film Rushmore.

My dad was watching it on like a Saturday morning
or something, and I was like, this is odd. Bill
Murray smoking SIGs in the pool, Like what is happening here?
Really interesting? Darkish humor kind of sucked me in.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
And that' spawned love for his films that led to
him creating the page accidentally Wes Anderson that collects photos
of places from around the world that look like they
could be plucked from a Wes Anderson film. The journey
started in twenty seventeen and has taken him to many cities, countries,
and continents, including Antarctica, and has a massed of nearly
two million followers. He's in Boston for the week, exploring
places like the BPL and the Gardener Museum. He says

the goal of the page is to learn more about
the world around us.

Every one of these buildings around us, thousands of people
walk in and out of on a regular basis, and
each of them has an amazing story to be told,
so finding that is kind of the crux of it.
The photo can be secondary, even though that might be
the first thing that you see.
