Boston Centers For Youth and Families Transformed Into Cooling Centers

Yeah, nope. Ice cream is definitely in the fridge.

And you thought this was Georgia's first rodeo.

But you left to eat it quickly because it'll be
melting in a hurry.

I caught up with Tom heading inside with a water
bottle in one hand and a yellow Gatorade in the other.
He pretty much has the perfect day plan to try
and keep cool during the heat emergency.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
Friend has a boat and they've invited us out. It's
a little bit of racing that goes on out there,
and we're going to watch the racing and enjoy a beverage
and you know, continue to hydrate in a different way.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Before the big boat boozing adventure. Georgia and his wife
are taking a little breather here at the Curly Community
Center in Southey that's now open as a cooling center
during the heat wave. Jason has his own methods to
staying cool on.

The water in the morning, pullar plunge it.

He kicked off the day with a swim at m
Street Beach. Stay in the shed out of the sun.

I burn easily.
