Tracy Skelly is the woman's spearheading this whole thing. She says,
the goal right now is to raise enough money for
seven thousand free meals, but that's just the beginning.

The aim is that this is actually something that just
becomes like a non issue that no one considers, like
giving kids free access to the museum without giving them
access to food. But if we need to continuously raise
funds to do it ourselves, we will.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Mary Michelle Wu was on hand for a private event
celebrating the cafe, which doesn't officially open for a few
more weeks. Knee deep in a reelection campaign, she says
little things like this play into her broader vision for
the future of the city.

all the rest of the world, Boston will be that
home for everyone.
