Boston City Councilors, Affordable Housing Advocates Drum Up Support For Rent Control

There's a campaign called ket Massachusetts Home with supporters of
your proposed rent control initiative collecting signatures to get it
on the twenty twenty sixth ballot.

We need that seventy five thousand, and we're pushing strong
rover halfway there, but we'll need as much help as
we can get in these last three weeks.

That's cold Gibson with Reclaim Roxbury holding a rally with
several Boston City councilors.

It would change everything. Think more affordability across the board.
When it rents home ownership, people that have futures again,
youth might be a little bit less hopeful, hopeless and
feeling lonely because they'll feel like they have a path forward.

Meanwhile, the organization Mass Landlord calls the initiative a trick,
saying any city or town can adopt rent control measures tomorrow,
adding the initiative will lead to disinvestment of rental properties
