Boston Library Branches Helping Residents Get Around On Bicycles

People whose bicycles need a little maintenance have come here
to the East Boston branch of the Public Library, which
is being visited by a couple knowledgeable folks from Boston Bikes.
Margaret Kelly is the branch librarian here.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
This program is a bike workshop that the City of
Boston sponsors, and it happens every month. It's two hours
and families and adults and children will just drop in
with their bikes. They can get it repaired basic repairs.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
All for free throughout the year at different branches at
the library across the city. This local woman told me
the service is great for her because she's on a budget.
It needs her bike to work.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Having a resource to keep my bike and working order
is pretty important to me because it is one of
the main ways I get around.
