Boston Public Library In Back Bay Hosts Special New Year's Eve Exhibit

Visitors to the Copley branch of the Boston Public Library can celebrate New Year's Eve by looking at historical pictures from past years. WBZ's Carl Stevens reports.

As the Public Services Supervisor of Special Collections for the
Boston Public Library, Kathleen Monahan helped to put together this
exhibit of photos and maps to give visitors an idea
of the history of this area.

The photos and maps today show all the different uses, activities,
and innovations that have happened in this area and can
be a good moment to stop and pause and think
about what else we might want to do, whether in
this building or in Boston itself.

The exhibit, for just a few hours on New Year's
Eve afternoon, is a history lesson for the many people
visiting this historical library is part of their First Night
