Caribbean Communities Unite At State House Breakfast

Miss Boston. Twenty twenty four, Tatiana Brown opens the second
annual Commonwealth's Caribbean Breakfast, thanking the lawyers, doctors, professionals who
stitch their communities together in Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan and beyond.

It's different islands, different dialects, and we're all here for
the same common threat of unity and making sure that
the Jasper is able to carry on with the legacy
that's been given to us.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Sina Shiloh is secretary of the Boston Caribbean American Association.
Their mission is to unite communities from the islands here
in Boston.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
And it's oftentimes we don't get that. We get a
disjointed unity, is what I call it. Where you may
have the Jamaicans in one place, the Haitians in one place,
the Beasions in the Trinidadan's in one place. What we
have dot is try to pluck people from each one
of those who have been doing the greed.

Would Awards are being handed out to Caribbean leaders who
