Changes Are Coming To Weymouth's Jackson Square. Here's What To Know.

The future here is bright, but over the next few
years it'll be quite the adjustment.

Some of the locals whose family have been there for generations,
they like it the way it is.

At least is a longtime Weymouth resident talking with her
today about the work that's now underway to redevelop a
few sites here that will bring some two hundred apartments
and twelve thousand square feet of area for commerce.

We don't want it to be huge either.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
This neighborhood is not that big. However, when it's all
said and done, the payoff will modernize an otherwise quaint
and aging part of town.

But we are excited about the changes.

Grafhic safety also on the minds of many.

Speaker 5 (00:35):
That's an issue, you know, somebody's you know, gonna get hit.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
The plans are now in action, and they're hoping to
have it all complete in under five years at Jackson
Square and Weymouth.
