Charlestown Man On Quest To Play Every Golf Course In Massachusetts

A former teacher is still providing an education on golf courses in the commonwealth. WBZ's James Rojas says he's also trying to complete a personal challenge.

and on his quest to play at every single one
in Massachusetts.

I was a teacher until twenty nineteen. I left teaching.
I wanted to try writing. I wanted to try something
different than COVID hits in March and we're kind of
just at home.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
He eventually got the idea of combining his two passions,
writing and golfing.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
And I've played one hundred and forty five of three
hundred and fifty since June of twenty twenty, is when
I started.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
The final goal of playing at every golf course in
the Bay State is of course exciting, but maybe more
so is the journey's.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Forced me into just these little neighborhoods in towns that
I would have never gone to if not for just
trying to play some golf in Somerville.
