Up twenty one percent year over year for the month
of August. Coffee price is soaring in the latest Consumer
Price Index report. But will that stop coffee consumers who
need that caffeine fix.

Yeah, I think it's part of my routine, honestly, coming here.
I know that we could probably just make it at home.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
But the answer out of Starbucks here in Plymouth is no.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
I don't think I make it as good as these
coffee soongs, So that's how I'll still come.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Many look at coffee as a daily staple and they're
willing to shell out a little extra for it, but
others do have their limits.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
I'll just probably be drinking more coffee at home.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
The US imports nearly all of its coffee sold at
US stores, and coffee rich nations like Brazil have had
a rough growing season plagued with weather. Combine that with tariffs,
it adds up. But for so many of us, our
coffee is our lifeline.

So it would be tough to shake that in Plymouth.
