We're using chemical reactions to keep medicine cool.

It's stem weak and to celebrate, the Museum of Science
challenges these kids at Pioneer Charter to design cold packs
meant for medicine coolers.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
They explored with potassium chloride, how many grams are going
to affect the change in temperature.

Janey McManus with the Museum says it's an applicable.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Science so that they can use that information to figure
out how much potassium chloridey should use in their core
pack when they finally go to design their medicine cooler.

Lieutenant Governor Kim driscoll was on hand to watch the
experiments unfold. Ryan and Ethan weren't sweating the spotlight.

We're trying to keep the cost slow but also keep
them like usable so that like it's not like going
to break apart.
