Heading into Medford Family Network, the group saw a thirty
five percent increase in demand for people taking part in
its toy program that they had to add a wait
list as families battle rising prices around the holidays. Teamster
Secretary Treasurer Stephen South says they wanted to make sure
no one had to wait for gifts.

The need is the biggest it's ever been, but luckily
our members and their generosity is the greatest it's ever
been because we brought in the most toys and money
in the history of our toy drive.

MFN director Marie Cassidy says this kind of support means
everything to them.

It's really not only about the present, it's about their
presence in our community and it's about being connecting us
with our families and ways that goes far beyond the
