Our Cultural Center, program director Karen Cindia Augusteirn was putting
the finishing touches on this place that was years in
the making.

It's been twenty years in the making. This is more
than a dream come true. And right now too, there
is so much negativity about Haiti or Haitian in the news.
We need to combat that with some positive and what
do we have. We have a beautiful culture.

Located a black from North Station. She sees the center
is a place where people can come to appreciate and
celebrate our culture.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
It is a cultural embassy for US Haitians to share
a culture with other communities and also to bring other
communities to the Haitian community.
