showing me a tank that's seen some things.

of a splash mark that shows where a shell actually
hit the front of the tank.

This particular Sherman tank fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
This year marks the eightieth anniversary of the end of
World War II, and with fewer and fewer vets to
relay their memories, the museum is trying to preserve what
it can.

with them. There's an even greater emphasis on engaging people
in this history as a means to better understand it.
