Lynn Salvation Army Distributes Free Back-To-School Supplies

Salvation Army Captain Emmanuel Viega says a smile on his
face as he looks at all the families in line
on the sidewalk at the start of this backpack giveaway event.
He says, these families can use the help, you.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Know, with everything that's going on with the economy, to
a lot of people losing their jobs or having a
hard time right now economically speaking, this saves them a
lot of money. They will have a backpack.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Around four hundred kids are receiving these backpacks equipped with
school supplies.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
A notebook, a folder, crayola, a couple of pens, a
couple pencils, just the basics to get them through the
school year, or at least the beginning of this school year.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
May Aaron Nicholson is on hand for the event, which
is something the Salvation Army has been doing here at
the end of every summer for around forty years. From
