Massachusetts Experiences Surge In Tick Activity

Aaron has a dog and just got back from the
cape that night.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
We found multiple ticks on Mazy, our dog, Macy.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
And she says it wasn't just one type of tick.

Speaker 4 (00:09):
There were deer ticks and other ticks, so it wasn't
the same species, so it was definitely two different species.
But we're still finding them.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
But she says she hasn't noticed an uptick in the
amount of ticks so far this season.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
We do walk in the town forest, but we're not
going through a lot of brush. It's the high grass
and the brush is where we usually notice it.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
And Darren says she hasn't seen any ticks.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Crawling around on our pillow.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
You never want to see them, especially because you know
at some point they're going to.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Land on you. You know, we don't want that.
