Every year, a number of states send their twenty best
high school senior girl gymnasts to the Senior Showcase Invitational
in Fort Myers, Florida. And they're all pretty.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Good, very very competitive. But the mass girls they were on.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
The Massachusetts team was on all right. They won, took
first place. Peter Goldbiel, longtime owner of the Winthrop Gymnastics Academy,
has been one of the coaches on the national team
since two thousand and four, and he loves the way
these girls work and grow together.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
These girls, they've been competing against each other for the
most part, you know, for years, and now all of
a sudden, we put twenty of them in a circle
and they bond very quickly.
