MassDot To Start Building Car-Free Bridge To Casino in 2026

If approved, the goal is to start construction of the
bicycle pedestrian bridge by the fall up next year and
complete it by the end of twenty twenty nine. That's
what was presented by mass Doot at a recent virtual hearing,
including the bridge's twenty five percent design, connecting Assembly Rows,
Draw seven Park to the Northern Strand Trail by Encore
Casino and Everett. Now these locals and Assembly Row feel

mostly positive about it.

For us living here, I mean, it would be a
way for us to go over to the casino.

Kind of avoid traffic on the other side. So it's
sort of just like this direct access to the casino.
So it's a good thing.

It's going to be a good scenic view, so it's
going to be a good plus.

Mass Doot says Once complete, the bridge will serve as
a critical missing link in the region, enhancing access to
