Mayor Wu Sounds Off On Attack Ad From Super PAC Your City, Your Future

When millions of dollars of attack ads fled into any race,
it has an impact.

Mayor Michelle Wou, responding to the first TV political ad
in the race for mayor, an attack targeting her support
for bike lanes and the redevelopment of White Stadium, blaming
her for school closings in the city, Boston's.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Headed in the wrong direction, and a vote against Mayor
Wu is a message. She can't ignore.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
The ad sponsored by Your City Your Future, a political
action committee, disavowed by Wu's challenger Josh Wu, vowing she
won't run ads attacking craft.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
But I certainly have no plans to do that.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
What about super PACs that are supporting you?

Speaker 1 (00:47):
As you know, there's no coordination or communication between any
outside entities and local campaigns.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
It will no doubt be an expensive, high stakes race
on both side, and it's likely the first attack out
