Museum Of Science Hosts 'Pedal Power' Celebrating Community Through Biking

The Museum of Sciences third annual Pedal Power event brings
together groups from all over the state to unite by
one goal, making cycling safer and more accessible in Boston
and beyond. Nancy Busby is with hub Love and an
initiative that helps support many of the groups here.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
There is close to one thousand miles of shared youth
paths across all of Massachusetts, so I think people don't
understand that there is access to safe, healthy biking right
in their backyards.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
One of the groups here is the Boston Cyclist Union,
a group focused on advocacy and equity when it comes
to cycling infrastructure in Boston at a time when the
word bike lane can stir up a storm. Executive director
Tiffany Kogel says, educating people about safety is an important
step if.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Forever talking about something as opposed to safety, safety should
always win out. And that's why it's important for so
many different people from different perspectives to come to this
advocacy and come to this movement because we need people
from all different perspectives.
