Needham Native Suni Williams Speaks With Families At Moonwalkers Exhibit

After watching the special program on the history of NASA's
Apollo missions and the future Artemis missions, kids got to
hear from one of the biggest names in space these days,
Sonny Williams. The Needham native has now been back on
Earth for almost six months after an eight day mission
turned into a nine month one thanks to issues with
her Boeing Starline or spacecraft. She says she loves getting
the opportunity to inspire a new generation of kids interested

in space and stem.

I hope there's a lot of kids that will follow
in my footsteps, because you know, I got to retire
one day.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Williams is now one of the most accomplished modern astronauts,
having logged the fourth most hours of space walking time ever.
She credits her parents and their hard work is the
reason why she was able to achieve her dreams.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I give a lot of credit to my parents for
my brother, sister, and I When we were growing up.
I never dreamed that I would be an astronaut, but
I think that foundation of just go for it was
what led me there.
