For some, the sound of inbound and outbound commuter trains,
specifically their horn, has become unnoticeable.

I've kind of used to it. It's never really bothered me,
and it's just kind of like what I'm It's like
my usual hearing. I like, I don't even register it anymore.

For others, it's a daily annoyance.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
No, it drives me crazy. It just seems like there's
never any peace when they're issuing nighttime in quiet. It
wakes you up.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Fortunately for that last person. Needum officials say they're working
closely with the MBTA to reduce routine train horn noise
while maintaining the highest standards of public safety. This comes
after town official say communication between them and the MBTA
came to a screeching halt, but things have since picked
