No Running Water Has Boxford Residents Reeling

Karen has lived in the Andrews Farm Road area for
decades and right now she's getting water for one of
her toilets out of a large tanker truck.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It's extremely frustrating. You don't realize until you don't have
it how much you use it.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
This area of Boxford has been without water for several
days now, to the point where the governor had to
declare a water emergency. Todd Administrator Matt Coogan says the
problem is with Andrews Farm Water Company, the private water
supplier for this development.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
We haven't had any correspondence from the Andrews Farm Water Company.
It's almost as if they've abandoned the water system, and
that's something the town's not going to do for the residents.
We're going to figure out a way to resolve it
for them.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
The town has this massive tank and is offering water
and showers at nearby fire and police stations while the
state works to find a new supplier. Residents tell me
they're just hoping for real solutions, not more band aids.
