Old North Church Has A New Addition To Its Crypt: An Old Brick

Speaker 1 (00:00):
A few months ago, an unmarked box showed up in
the Old North Church. Emily Spencive Old North illuminated says,
inside was a bag with a brick and a short,
unsigned type note.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
And the note said, my husband took this from your crypt.
Ever since, we've had bad luck and we'd like to
return the brick.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
That was it.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
No explanation of when they took the allegedly cursed brick
or what misfortune came along with it, but the education
director took this as a golden opportunity to preach respect
for the creaking crypt under the church, home to more
than a thousand interred parishioners. They've set up a little
glass display for the brick with a sign that says
do not touch. There are already fingerprints in the dust.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
I can see that someone.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Literally has touched it.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah, so that's very Emily says.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
She doesn't really fear the supernatural down here. Though. The
brick's return was marked with an occurrence.

Speaker 5 (00:45):
Not once, but two times the light stopped working.
