President Brewster Looks To Recruit More Players For Boston Netball Club

Coach Gertrue is showing me some of her moves on
the netball court.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
I was a shoot at one time. I play a center,
I play a goal keep. I played anything. I could
play the game. The love of the game. I love
the game a lot. It is great.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
She's the president of the Boston Netball Club, a game
that gained popularity in the US. Right and Springfield right now.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
We have players from Walham that drive from there every
two days a week here in Boston. The Boston to
play with US.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Urtrue is currently looking to add more people to the team.
We met right outside the Sportsman Tennis and in Richmond
Center in Dorchester, at the only netball court in Boston.
Gertrue actually worked with the city to help build it
years ago. Oslen Brouman, president of Shamrock Netball, joined US basketball.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
They have a batboard so they get some kind of help,
but in netball we get no help.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
It's similar to basketball, but there's no backboard and no
