There was a little Halloween feel here at the State House,
with people dressed up as bumblebees to express their support
for a proposed bill that would restrict use of a
pesticide that kills bees. Among those here to testify and
supported the bill, as Joseph pappis, he's with environment Massachusetts.

Bees are dying around Massachusetts. We know that just this
past winter, our beekeepers saw one of the worst pea
die offs in recent years. Eighty two percent of commercial
beehives in Massachusetts died off this past year.

He points out that bees as pollinators are necessary for
the health of the environment and our food supply, but
they're in trouble, he says if these pesticides are not
