Speaker 1 (00:00):
Outside the stop and shop Employmouth, I'm asking shoppers how
they feel about self checkout lanes. To my surprise, I'm
hearing a lot of backlash.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Unless I have one or two items and the lines
all back.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
I think they should go back to checkouts and give
people more jobs.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Many complain about a lack of staff being available to
help with scanning if something goes wrong, and that's part
of the reasoning behind a new bill on Beacon Hill
that would demand grocery stores have one worker for every
two self checkout lanes and limit self checkouts to eight
per store. Nancy from Kingston thinks the traditional checkouts don't
cut it anymore.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
I just think it's an extra step in at slowsy
down grocery shopping.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
At the same time, I was getting a lot of
frustrating feedback on self checkouts, and it could be a
preview of where this bill is headed at the State House.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
