Protesters Rally Against Immigration Policies Outside Burlington ICE Center

They vowed to stand outside the ICE detention facility in
Burlington from dawn till dusk in a show of solidarity.
A group of veterans joined the demonstration and recited the
oath they took as military recruits. Army Sergeant John Moses
criticized President Trump's use of soldiers to police American cities.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I think it's an incredibly cruel position to put soldiers in,
and they're putting on a position in opposition to the
people they're supposed to be protecting. I don't agree with
soldiers being used as a tool.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
The demonstrators voiced opposition to President Trump's use of ICE
agents to indiscriminately arrest immigrants. Brian Whitter is with the
group Mass fifty to fifty one that organized the demonstration.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Ultimately, I think the wheels are falling off the bus
of this administration, and I think it's going to end
badly for them later and for America.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
But for them, the message is dig in your hairs
and hold your ground. We're going to win this thing.
