Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Dorchester Health Planning Working Group is issuing recommendations to
the city and state for how to address the lack
of healthcare resources ever since Carney Hospital closed. Their list
of recommendations is meant to act as a framework to
help those impacted. One of them includes adding additional capacity
at community health centers.

Speaker 2 (00:17):

think urgent care centers around this community would also be good.
I think a lot of times I work in a hospital,
so sometimes people come to the hospital for things that
they could go to orgent care for things like that.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
The list of recommendations also suggest reusing the former hospital
site to fill gaps in healthcare access and address the
impact of losing emergency medical services in Dorchester. James Rojas WBZ,
