Some Drivers Want Brakes Put On New Car Innovation

The automatic start stop system is meant to cut back
on emissions while idling, and data shows it does, but
that doesn't mean everyone's on board with it.

to want to go with them, regardless of the positive output.

The Battery Council International says it helps remove nearly ten
million tons of greenhouse gas emissions in the US each year,
which is why for some folks it's worth having.

I think if it helps with gas emissions and fuel economy,
I'm okay with leaving it on. It doesn't really bother me.

My husband actually turned it off when he drove it
one time, but I literally don't care. It doesn't bother
me at all.

Abe is a mechanic, and he's skeptical about how much
you really save, considering it could cause wear and tear.

Put more were on the starter and that is another
battery to have that feature to keep it alive, which
is very expensive though.
