State Lawmakers Consider Lifting Ban On Happy Hour

Originally, the band was meant to cut down on drunk driving,
which some say is still a worthy reason not to
bring Happy Hour back.

Mixed blessings. A lot of dead people out there due
to Happy Hours, so probably wouldn't be a proponent of it.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
But on the agenda today three bills aiming to lift
the band. Supporters say Happy Hours to come back because
it can help local bars and restaurants and even bring
the community together.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
It provides an opportunity for people to get together to
decompress after work, remove some cost barriers.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Others say the benefits just don't outweigh the risks.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Selling cheap alcohol and wings is probably good for them,
but I think for society, I think it probably showed
it wasn't so great.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Would you partake in it anyways.

Probably once in a while
