Speaker 1 (00:00):
Bicycle shops like Will Works in Belmont are keeping a
close eye on the market as they expect to feel
the effects of tariffs if they continue through June. Owner
Clint Page says his customers have shared their concerns about
uncertain prices for bikes and parts.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
We are going to make it clear on handtags, in particular,
if things go up well, people putting an additional notation
on handtags that are on the bicycles that the tariff
went up, and it went up, what dated went up,
and what it was before the tariff.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Meanwhile, JRA Cycles and metaphord It says they've already shifted
frame productions from China to Taiwan, but still face over
thirty percent tariffs. They say independent shops have more flexibility,
though margins and the bike industry are getting tighter in Belmont.
