Sunflower Fanatics Can Pick Their Own At This Wellesley Event

All these beautiful, beautiful sunflowers. You're out in the fresh air,
and when you get to see this if you live
in the Boston area, so it's great.

It's a roaring field of sunflowers in bloom at the
garden at Elmsbank here at the Massachusetts Horriicultural Society on
the Wellesley Dover line.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
We tell people to bring a picnic, make a day
of it. You get to explore the garden and then
also have the sunflowers.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Director of Education and Guest Experience, Alison Dusch, says the
garden has extended pick your own sunflowers to stay open
through this weekend until Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
We do have some fun colors as well. Here some
light white colors, some reds. We have some light green,
so all different kinds.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
The tips to cut the tall stems is to trim
low to the ground and shave off some pesky leaves
that cause the flower energy.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
A little whimsical experience because how many plants grow as
tall as a person, and this makes the day a
little more beautiful.
