All right, if you've had some extra money burning a
hole in your pocket, the time to spend it is
coming up. The tax free weekend is expected to stimulate
the local economy as the temporary break from the usual
six point twenty five percent sales tax on most things
is lifted. But not everyone is thrilled about it, Like al.

It's off my radar, you know at this point, you know,
I think it should happen all the time. I don't
think it should just be offered for a weekend or
a week and I think we're way over tax either way.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Now, the sales tax weekend doesn't apply to all products
or sales sas food, motor vehicles, tobacco, and alcohol are
on the excluded list. But that price ETV computer or
the plethora of school supplies that are needed are very
