Teachers Gather At AFT Convention To Prepare Response To Trump Admin.

Teachers, but frankly, all Americans are being confronted with challenges
that we've not experienced in our lifetime, which is an
undermining of the foundations of our democracy.

Boston Teachers' Union president Eric Burgh says the stakes are
high for unionized teachers meeting for the annual American Federation
of Teachers Convention.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Many Americans who may have voted for President Trump didn't
count on Elon Musk and his twenty somethingter tech pros
to come into the irs and get the individual tax
data of Americans.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Here, hundreds of teachers are at roundtables to gain plan
a response to the Trump administration, voting on resolutions to
condemn attacks on libraries, museums, and cultural heritage institutions, all
those of favor all Right. AFTMA President Jessica Tang took
the role call. The teachers are also marching to the
Social Security Office in Dorchester to advocate for its value
