The 250th Battle of Bunker Hill Reenactment Kicks Off In Gloucester

Gloucester isn't the first location used as a stand in
for seventeen seventy five Charlestown by Battle of Bunker Hill reenactors.

Last time it was in New Hampshire, but this is
a signature event for the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary.
We had to hold it in Massachusetts.

That's Dougzelias, an event organizer, portraying a Bridge soldier tomorrow.
He was part of the committee that chose stage Ford
Park for this weekend's events.

It's got a large hill right in the middle of
the park. We can camp a large number of soldiers
here and it's big enough to allow spectators to come
and park. It's got access to the MBTA, perfect for
what we needed.

And organizers were greeted with open arms by Gloucester Mayor
Greg Virga.

over the years, movies and other historical events. This one
is just like the latest feather in our capital.
