Episode Transcript
A marching band played the anthems of the Army, Air Force, Navy,
Marines and Coast Guard as Quinsy celebrated Memorial Day with
a parade. Marchers made their way to the Mount Wallston Cemetery,
where there are monuments to the city's fallen veterans from
the Civil War to the War on Terror.

There are names in those monuments. They're not just names.

Those are people that lived here, went to school here,
and offered and went on to serve their nation and
did not come home.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Mayor Tom Coke spoke of the city's sons and daughters
who've made the ultimate sacrifice.

Quincy is a special place. One of the reasons it's
so special is because the veterans every generation stepped up
to defend the flag we seek behind us. So to
while our veterans out there, we say thank you in Quincy.
