The Wenham Tea House Keeps Century-Old Traditions Alive Under New Operators

Built in nineteen sixteen, the Winhem Tea House is the
oldest continually operating tea house in America. A little more
than a year ago, Chef Patrick Ford and his wife
Tarah Prescott opened up their restaurant at the Tea House.
The restaurants open all week and they offer tea service Thursday, Friday,
and Saturday.

Afternoons does high tea, does afternoon tea. High teas more
of like a meal. Afternoon tea is just like a snack.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
The tea service is a tradition that started here more
than a hundred years ago, and Chef Patrick wants people
to know the tradition is still very much alive at
the Weinnhem Tea House.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I think it's going great. We just want to grow
from here. A lot of people still kind of don't
know that we're here, so we want to make sure
that people do know.
