It's a concern teachers at Waltham High School keep hearing
from students.

Some children of color who are American citizens are even
afraid to come to school or step out in public
by themselves because they're afraid of these apprehensions that are
more like abductions.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Ellen Darcy is among the over two dozen teachers and
supporters walking out before class to show their students that
they have their backs.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
I want them to know we're happy to see them,
and we're happy to teach them, and they're welcome here.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Every one of us here at Waltham High School teaches
immigrant students who are incredibly proud of that.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
The walkout was organized by the Teachers' Union in Waltham.
